Baba Yaga Goblin Colony
This piece is my Capstone project from school. The concept for this piece was a Baba Yaga inspired goblin colony. One of the main struggles for this project was the time constraints. This project lasted 2 semesters in college. The first being dedicated to pre-production, and the second was full production. For the second semester I dedicated approximately 32 hours a week over a 10 week period towards this project. The work for this project was everything from the white-box to the final rigged and surfaced scene. I had decided to do this project because it blends the line between environment and character art, both of which I have a passion for. The colony has a simple rig to allow the building to stand up and idle (as seen in my demo reel). For this project I modeled primarily in Maya, with some assets, such as the legs, being modeled in ZBrush. The surfacing was done in Substance Painter and the rendering in Unreal Engine.
